The all-new, seventh generation 2015 Hyundai Sonata is set to make its Malaysian debut tomorrow, following the periodical teasers released via Facebook page recently.
The Hyundai Genesis inspired D-Segmenter had its world debut earlier in the year in South Korea, and adopts the brand’s evolved Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy. The handsome midsize sedan is 35mm longer and 30mm wider in length, which translates to better interior space.
One of the Sonata’s hard-hitting points this time around is its vastly improved driving performance, one which will definitely be put to the test. Part of this improvement is due to significant structural and geometrical changes done to the front and rear suspension.
The trend with Korean cars nowadays is that their cars come packed with lots of tech, and we’re sure this one’s no less different. A range of improved and re-engineered MPi and GDi engines is offered here, which comprise of a 2.0-litre CVVL (166 hp & 201 Nm), 2.4-litre GDi (190 hp & 247 Nm) and a 2.0-litre LPi engine (149 hp & 194 Nm).
